Salt Lake City Utah Engagements Photographer

A love story: How did they meet?

Abby and Rodrigo had mutual friends who were convinced they would make a good match. But Abby and Rodrigo both felt resistant to the meet-up. After weeks of fighting off their friends, they finally agreed to a date. Three months later they found themselves engaged and planning a wedding for 2021!

How did they find their Wedding Photographer?

I actually met Abby through our church congregation. I had her come babysit for my husband and I a couple of times. Funny story? One night when we came home, she was on the phone with her boyfriend at the time. I told my husband she had confessed earlier that she thought they were going to get married. Guess who overheard? The boyfriend! I was mortified! Lol. But it turns out he wasn’t the one anyway. Abby and Rodrigo are the perfect match in every way, so I guess I did her a favor? Haha.

Let’s talk about their Engagement Pictures!

Abby had heard a lot about the Thomas S. Monson Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Utah Wedding Photographer myself, I had actually never shot there. I had heard about it about a year before their session and was dying to take pictures at such a beautiful place! So when Abby said she was up for doing the 1.5 hr drive to make it happen, I was ecstatic!

We decided to also do their Engagement Pictures at the Gallivan Center in Downtown Salt Lake City. And when downtown, you can’t resist a rooftop, am I right? After taking their Engagement Pictures at those two locations, we switched over to the Thomas S. Monson Center. It was everything I had dreamed of! A light background, nice light reflecting off the sidewalks and white building and historical architecture. As if we hadn’t already bitten off more than we can chew, we had to run over to the Utah State Capitol for more Engagement Pictures! The lights of the capitol were a-glow creating some serious magic for the end of their session.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet and work with such a sweet couple. We had such a great time running around Downtown Salt Lake City, I can’t wait for their wedding in 2021!
